Back to Adelaide

After we all realized the weather up north towards Broome continue to be stormy and rainy, we finally decided to head back and I carried on driving straight to Adelaide.

On the way I picked up two guys from Poland (Ula and Olo) and although I made the trip alreallyready, we still saw some interesting things along the road and I really had a great time with them. I hope they join me driving to Melbourne in the next days, because one thing I really learned here while travelling is that it makes much more sense dealing with the right people...and it's much more fun too!

For now Iam looking forward to have some relaxed upcoming days here in Adelaide since there are still people here I know =)

Perth to Exmouth

Hi folks,

Unfortunately my journey just brought me to Exmouth, which is about a third of the way I originally planned. Besides one travelmate decided to leave the party instantly after just twenty minutes of driving (it's risky to travel with people who are half broken and might get a job offer via phone), we had to bother with an enormous heat in my non-air-conditionned van and of course...heaps of flies!!!

Though the westcoast offers a broad range of Nationalparks and wonderfull beaches, we weren't able to spent the whole day in and on these. Instead we basically drove the entire day from 11am to around 7pm to avoid getting a heat-shock. That took us pretty fast to Exmouth and were I instantly started my diving course.

There is not much to say about diving except that it's an incredible experience. I thought snorkeling is wonderfull allready but with scuba-diving you really become a member of the underwater world. In spite of that I also made my experiences with suffering sea-sickness on a boat...luckily after and not in between a dive ;)
I also invested into an disposable underwater still-camera to take some pictures, which I lost during the dive...clumsy me!!! Watching lion fishes, manta rays and sharks swimming half a meter underneath you is great though!
